Bristol Wave Attends BBNC Career Fair

On October 4th, 2025, the Bristol Wave HR team attended the Bristol Bay Native Corporation Annual Meeting of shareholders and Career Fair at the Dena’ina Civic Center in Anchorage, Alaska. This annual event provides Bristol Wave with a unique opportunity to connect with BBNC shareholders and their descendants, promoting job opportunities for Alaska Natives in a sustainable fishery with an Alaskan Owned company founded on a deep respect for native waters.

In attendance from Bristol Wave were Senior HR Business Partner Beth Talbert and HR Manager Angie Curtis. Here are a few highlights from their trip to Anchorage!

The annual BBNC Career Fair gives us the chance to go beyond simply working for our shareholders. By providing job opportunities for BBNC shareholders & Descendants we also get the chance to work with the people who make all our jobs possible. When Bristol Wave products are delivered to customers around the world, every fish is caught using hook-and-line methods that minimize bycatch and environmental impact. This ensures an exceptional product for our customers while protecting the pristine waters of the Bering Sea, Aleutian Islands, and Gulf of Alaska for generations to come.

The Bristol Bay Region Career & Technical Education program is a consortium of the four school districts within the Bristol Bay region. Bristol Bay Borough School District,  Dillingham City School District,   Lake & Peninsula School District, and Southwest Region School District work closely together to bring a quality career and technical education program to their students. BBRCTE offers career and community-focused education to help students plan for and work towards their career goals. BBRCTE’s education model includes a mix of distance and in-person courses. In-person courses are offered during four separate weeks of the year, while distance courses are offered periodically. Students that are selected for the in-person courses fly into the host community to attend courses.
